Robert (Bob) L. Harding, age 84 of Freeport, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Community Hospice House, New Philadelphia surrounded by family. He was born May 25, 1929, at Freeport, Ohio, the son of the late George and Lily Smith Harding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Bond Funeral Home, Londonderry Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Sunday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Roger Bourne officiating. John W. Smith, age 18, of Jewett, tragically died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Sunday, June 9, 2013.

Born Aug. 21, 1994 in Steubenville he was the loving son of Clay and Jennifer Smith of Jewett.

He was preceded in death by an uncle Donnie Cusick.

Services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Koch Funeral Home, Scio. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett. Margaret Lucille (Frizzell) Davidson (“Peg”) age 86 passed away on May 31, 2013. She was born on January 5, 1927 in Piedmont, Ohio to the late Ada and Albert Frizzell.

Her parents and four brothers (Ed, Joe, Rex and Gene Frizzell) preceded her in death.

Patricia M. Hamilton, age 78, of Holloway died at 9:35 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 in Cumberland Pointe Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio. She was born in Holloway, Ohio December 5, 1934, daughter of the late Maynard “Zeke” Rankin and Elsie Piper Rankin.

Her husband, Robert Wayne Hamilton, died in August 1, 1973. They were married November 17, 1952. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Lawrence “Ern” Hamilton on October 20, 2005; a sister: Bertie Taggart; two brothers: Harry Rankin and Stanley Rankin.

Services were held on Tuesday, May 28 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S. High Street, Freeport. Burial followed in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing Township, Belmont County, Ohio.

Herbert Moreland, 85, of Cadiz, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born March 13, 1928 in Somerton, Belmont, Co., Ohio, a son of the late Homer and Hazel Conard Moreland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara “Edith” Tedrow Moreland; three brothers, Homer Moreland, Jr., James Conard Moreland and Tom Moreland; and two sisters, Gladys Brownfield and Mary Anna Fling.

A service to commit ashes will be held Thursday, June 6 at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale with Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating. The family will receive friends at the First Church of Christ Social Hall following the committal service.

Frank E. Remas Jr., 86, Countryside Lane Cadiz, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. He was born June 26, 1926 in Bridgeport, a son of the late Frank E. Remas Sr. and Caroline Ballog Remas.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Carothers Remas, who he married May 6, 1944.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 3, 2013 at Borkoski Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating. Military honors conducted by the Cadiz American Legion at Longview Cemetery, New Athens.

Garry B. Lee, 76, Leesburg, Florida, died May 22, 2013. He was born June 29, 1936 in Hopedale, a son of the late H. O. and Rhoda Lee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Beryl, Lou Emma, Vivian and brother Marvin.

Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery near Hopedale at the convenience of the family.

Sarah L. Dowdle, 95 of Cadiz, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born Jan. 14, 1918 in Kenwood, a daughter of the late Clyde and Icie Thompson Hendershott.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband Walter Dowdle in 1969; a son Willis (Willie) Dowdle on March 12, 2013; three brothers: Lawrence, John and Clyde Hendershott; a great-grandson and a great-great granddaughter.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Scott United Methodist Church, 817 East Market Street, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
