Locals part of “He’s Alive!”

CADIZ – Thirteen members of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church, including Associate Pastor Mark Smith and members of his youth group, are taking the stage next weekend in Heaven Bound Ministries’ production of  “He’s Alive!” Other locals include Will Croskey, Bailey Eberhart, Bailee Fulton, Lyndsey McGowan Hennis, Kaleb Kibble, Ryan Kibble, Emily Moore, Matthew Parrish, Preston Rocknich, Ally Vargo, Mark Smith Jr. and Matthew Smith, who will be featured in a mob crowd scene with Pontius Pilot prior to the Crucifixion.

The musical drama will be presented on March 22-23 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee performance also scheduled at 3:30 p.m. that Saturday.

“It’s a story everyone seems to know, but when you see it with 200 people who want to be close to God, it’s moving and the music is tremendous. [The cast is] non-denominational and across West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. There are Catholics, Presbyterian, Methodists and Assemblies of God. ‘He’s Alive!’ brings denominations together to preach the same exact message,” Smith said.

Admission is free and seating is first come, first serve. Doors open each night at 6:30 p.m. and at 1 p.m. for the matinee. For more information, call 304-232-6122, 724-883-2241 or724-998-0746. The above picture is a stock photo from a past production.

More details of the production can be found on the Church Page in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
