Lions benefit to stock food pantry
CADIZ – The Cadiz Lions Club is doing its part to help stock the Cadiz Food Pantry by holding a Soup and Salad Day benefit on April 13. The second annual event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Theresa Activity Center on East South Street.
Teri Mizer, program organizer, said the event features all-you-can-eat soup, salad and dessert for $5 with dine-in and takeout services available.
“We’d like to exceed $500 and all of the proceeds will go to the pantry,” said Mizer. “I think this has been one of our newer projects at the Lion’s Club and we’re happy to help the pantry any way we can. This is one way we can do that.”
