Harrison Central musical “Cinderella” is not your grandma’s version
CADIZ – Harrison Central students will present the musical “Cinderella” on April 19 and 20, but it won’t be your grandma’s version. The Harrison Central version is a highly-enjoyable modern retelling that features a bookish and nearsighted Cinderella who finds and captures the heart of a studious Prince Freddy.
The cast and crew invite all area theater and music fans to turn out and enjoy the show presented at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Children under five are free.
Co-directors for the musical are Teresa Dunlap and Anna Minalga.
“Anna and I are so proud of the cast and crew of our production,” said Dunlap. “We have been working tirelessly to put together a musical that the Harrison community can enjoy.”
This year’s musical will feature Abby Dodds as Cinderella, Jonah Rodgers as Prince Freddy, Summer Russo as Brunhilda, and Sheryl Eckroth as Gwendolyn the Well-Wisher. The musical version of “Cinderella” is based on a book written by Joe McDonough, with music by Fitz Patton and lyrics by David Kisor.
