FREEPORT – This year the Clark Memorial Branch Library is participating in Helmet Head, a bike safety education campaign organized by Carol Infante, RN of the Harrison County Health Department. Young families are invited to attend the presentation May 9 at 11 a.m. Included in the program are free bike helmets for children ages 3-5.
To celebrate Right to Read Week the Clark Library will be encouraging patrons, “Defend Your Right to Read!” A family Superhero Party will be held on May 9 at 4 p.m. Guest readers from the community will be sharing some superhero stories, and children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superheroes.
The Page Turners will meet Thursday May 9 at 6 p.m. to discuss “Nightwoods” by Charles Frazier. The group always accepts new members; stop by the library to pick up your copy of the most recent Page Turners book.
