CADIZ – It was not the best night to recognize the senior members of the Harrison Central wrestling team, as the Huskies lost at home during a dual outing to the visiting Big Reds of Steubenville. Seniors being recognized prior to the evening’s events were: Shawn Pate, Darin Heavilin, Trevor Coffman, Cody Kaiser and team statistician Megan Goodrich.
As illness and injuries continued to plague the team, the Huskies forfeited bouts during the match-ups, and soon fell behind Big Red in points.
Senior Trevor Coffman started things off for the Huskies with a decision win, but it was pretty much down hill from there. Coffman’s teammates Doug Eddy and Big John Eckroth bounced back later on during the meet to also score decision wins for the Huskies. The Huskies also participated in the Buckeye Local Invitational during the week. Finding basically the same results as in the Steubenville match, the team had first place wins from Big John and Doug Eddy, while Trevor Coffman placed third and Doug Forrester fourth.
