CADIZ – The incident involving five-year old, Ivee Golsby being left on a Harrison Hills City School District (HHCSD) bus last week resulted in the resignation of driver, Elizabeth Salyers, which became effective Sept. 17. Salyers resigned in wake of the controversy where she forfeited due process, which was allowed by law.

“We spoke to the mom and apologized,” HHCSD Superintendent, Dana Snider said. “We never want this to happen.

Snider noted that in light of the mistake, and due process aside, Salyers would have been fired if she hadn’t resigned, for which she was aware.

“The driver never had an instance in the past. Never had any discipline actions whatsoever in the past,” Snider said.
