Lady Huskies sectional tournament

The Lady Huskies advanced to the sectional finals before falling to the Pirates of Garaway by a score of 30-22. The game was low scoring, but the Huskies did have some key players step up on the night. Senior Heather May finished her high school career leading the Huskies in scoring with 6, and Freshman Madison Richards added 5. The Huskies finished the season with a winning record going 11-10, and played strong in the tournament against higher ranked opponents.

They gave their all, but there can only be one state champion and this year it will not be the Huskies. “We had a good season, the girls gave me everything they had and I was happy to coach this team. They are a great group and I am extremely proud of all of them,” said coach Yorkavich.
