CADIZ – Harrison County Commissioners closed the books on 2010 finances and said things ended on a high note. Despite the closure of several businesses this past year, the county is anticipated to have a carryover of $10,000 to $20,000, which is much better than the $101,000 deficit it incurred at the end of 2009. The general fund budget is currently estimated at $2.75 million but should be certified the first week of January. More budget information and other actions taken by the the Commissioners is available in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
