CADIZ – Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 officials unveiled its $161 million to-do list near Morristown on Thursday, calling it an exciting time for the district. District 11 Director Richard Bible said the construction season would be the largest in Ohio’s history, with about $4 billion in projects occurring statewide and stimulus funding spurring improvements and job creation.
In Harrison County, a 2.4-mile section of U.S. 250 east of Tappan Lake from Mizer Road to Milliken Road will be shut down for a 45-day period starting in September. ODOT representatives said the closure is required for the $4.3 million overhaul, yet detours will be implemented to circumvent the work area. The route should be reopened before the Thanksgiving holiday.
