Dedication of The Ark draws a large crowd

JEWETT – A crowd of over 85 people pictured above, turned out for the dedication service for The Ark last Tuesday. The Ark is cooperative ministry venture with the Jewett UMC and New Rumley UMC, and is located in the Jewett Wildcat Community Center.

Its mission is to provide a place to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with compassion, creativity, and love, so that all may know His Hope and Joy.

Shown left, the Born to Worship Praise Team entertained the audience with several musical numbers. They are (L-R): Alicia Moore, Alex Chrisman, Cierra Frye, Tiarra Logsdon, Alivia Frye, Chris Donato, and Brinley Fife. Children 10 years and up are welcome to join the team by calling Susan Blanke at 740-945-1761. Read more on the dedication and plans for the Ark in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.

I am so thrilled to see The ARK using the former Jewett-Scio Elem. School bldg. There can be no better use of this facility than the spreading of God's love, message of hope & salvation in our lives, & the nurturing, especially, of our youth in Christian fellowship. I applaud the 2 churches involved & all those who volunteered & worked to make this a reality. I wish you all great success in this endeavor!
