Bow Hog Gun Shack building momentum

    FREEPORT – The Bow Hog Gun Shack near Freeport, at 30004 Old Smyrna Road, is a  treasure trove for hunting and gun aficionados. Goran and Angela Zarkovic, along with Web site partner Steve Cross, operate the Bow Hog Gun Shack from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. during the winter but, summer hours will be extended.

    The location deals with long guns, handguns, tactical and hunting guns, ammunition and cleaning supplies, as well as holsters, archery equipment and optics.

    Goran  services bows and archery equipment and hopes to become an established gunsmith. He is also an accredited National Rifle Association instructor and teaches concealed carry weapon classes in the community. The most recent event was at the Moorefield Community Center last month with 15 people and he tries to offer classes on a monthly basis. A basic handgun safety class is targeted for Feb. 22-23.
