W. Ralph McAfee, Jr.


Walter Ralph McAfee, Jr., age 55, of Jewett died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Ohio American’s Redbird West Operation’s near Brilliant from injuries sustained in a mining accident.

Born February 28, 1957 in Dennison he was a son of the late Walter Ralph “Pork” McAfee, Sr and Florence Alice “Floss” Moore McAfee.

Services will be held Thursday at noon in Bethel United Methodist Church near Jewett with Pastor Roger Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 – 8 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, Scio where a Masonic Service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd., 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540 or at www.autismspeaks.org.

  1. To all the mcafee family, I was sorry to hear of Ralph’s passing. i have known the family since we were kids, though Ralph is alot younger. May the Lord give you the strength to get through these trying times. I hope you are doing well Laurie. with love and prayers. Toots Hauber Jones.

  2. I was so shocked and saddened to read of Ralph’s passing. We had been friends for a few years and I always sent him a note at his birthday. He spoke so highly of his sisters and his sons and grandchildren. He was a good man with a heart of gold. I pray you will all find peace and allow God to help you through. Rest in peace, Ralph.
