PIEDMONT – The Moorefield Township Volunteer Fire Department will host its 66th Annual Fireman’s Fair on Friday June 22 and Saturday June 23 with food, activities, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. on Friday with the opening of the concession stand that will feature various sandwiches, French fries, Coleman’s fish, and homemade pies and the opening of “Extreme” inflatable rides for the little ones to enjoy.
The parade will take place at 7 p.m. with line-up beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 22 and State Route 331.
At 3 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a host of old-fashioned fair games including: Frisbee toss, egg toss, balloon toss, frog and turtle races, bubble gum blowing, and horseshoe throw. The concession stand will open up at 4 p.m. on Saturday and will feature the ever-popular chicken BBQ.
The fair’s biggest moneymaker, the annual auction will take place at 5 p.m. with Piatt Auctioneer Services taking bids. Rogers Orchestra will play music for square dancing and line dancing from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. to close out the two-day event.
