Brooks leading Clark Branch Library

FREEPORT – Elizabeth Brooks’ lifelong love of books has led to her new role as manager of Clark Branch Library in Freeport. The Freeport native and longtime teacher began duties on July 2 and is taking a personal leave of absence from the Harrison Hills City School District while she becomes acclimated to her new role.

“This is something I’ve always wanted to do,” she said. “I love books and always wanted to work in the library system. I know this community really well and have a lot of family members who come in everyday.”

Clark Branch Library is open Monday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
