Lakeland Academy previewed

 

FREEPORT – Freeport area residents and prospective students got a preview of Lakeland Academy Community School, which is undergoing construction at the former Freeport Market on Main Street. A meeting was held with organizers and the new community school board on Wednesday to discuss the free k-12 facility. Enrollment was under way through the weekend and classes start Sept. 28.

    grew up in freeport when the schools closed we moved away ....it was sad to see them shut down. As a parent ...I'd be proud to have my children go to the school I went to and I agree , maybe this would send a message to Harrison Hills. I pray Lakeland Academy succeeds~~

    The same people that r for this never supported the school when it was there. Really, send hh a message? What would that be?
