Lakeland Academy previewed

    FREEPORT – Freeport area residents and prospective students got a preview of Lakeland Academy Community School, which is undergoing construction at the former Freeport Market on Main Street. A meeting was held with organizers and the new community school board on Wednesday to discuss the free k-12 facility. Enrollment was under way through the weekend and classes start Sept. 28.

    1. Good for them. May they be the utmost successful. Maybe this will send Harrison Hills a message.

    2. grew up in freeport when the schools closed we moved away ….it was sad to see them shut down. As a parent …I’d be proud to have my children go to the school I went to and I agree , maybe this would send a message to Harrison Hills. I pray Lakeland Academy succeeds~~

    3. The same people that r for this never supported the school when it was there. Really, send hh a message? What would that be?
