WWII vet receives medals 67 years later
Harrison County Veterans Service Commission member Jim Thompson and Veterans Service Officer Dave Rose awarded Leonard “Bud” Copeland, of Scio, with some belated medals for his bravery during World War II. Copeland’s three-year Army stint ended with a bullet he took during a campaign in France in 1945.

Congratulations and a long time coming. Bud is a cousin of mine. My dad John Copeland was a brother to Bud's mother Dell.
I am very proud of you and you have certainly deserved these medals.
