William C. Carman, 85, died Thursday morning at his home after a long illness. He was born in Unionport, Ohio on September 11, 1926, the son of the late Eugene and Carrie Hosterman Carman. Bill was also preceded in death by an infant son and brothers, Earl Carman, George and Harry Carman.

Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home at 324 High Street in Hopedale, Ohio on Saturday Sept. 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with services there on Sunday at 2 p.m. Pastor Dean Blythe is officiating. Burial will follow at Unionport Cemetery. The Hopedale American Legion will provide military honors. Donations may be made to the Hopedale United Methodist Church in Bill’s name.
