SCIO – Rebecca (Patrick) Frohnapfel of rural Scio loves helping people, and for eight and a half years did so as a pediatric home health nurse in the area. Frohnapfel now finds herself in the role of patient though after being diagnosed with Chiari Malformation five years ago and is now preparing for major surgery to help relieve her symptoms.
Friends and family of Rebecca pictured, are showing support for her with a fundraiser to be held on Saturday November 17 from 4-6 p.m. at the Scio United Methodist Church in her honor, and will feature a dinner, silent auction, and karaoke contest. The karaoke contest will be open to the first ten contestants who sign up and will begin at 5 p.m. The evening will conclude with a “Kiss Brendan” contest for the ladies and a “Kiss Lisa” contest for the men; stop by to see just who (or what) Brendan and Lisa are.
Donations will be gladly accepted, just call the Scio UMC at 740-945-951, or Lois Wright at 740-945-5345 for more information.
Further details of the fundraiser can be found in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
