CADIZ – Katie Dodds got a close look at the world during an educational trip abroad.
Dodds, a Cadiz resident and sophomore international relations and communication major at Walsh University in Canton, was one of 16 students who took part in “The Rome Experience” and spent two months in Europe. She departed for Italia on Oct. 17 and returned on Dec. 15, saying her sojourn gave her an interesting perspective on global issues.
“Walsh has a campus in Rome, Italy, and I stayed at Casa Mennesiana in Castel Gandolfo 30 minutes outside of Rome,” she said. “Walsh University is known for its global programs and I went for the ‘Rome Experience.’”
The international relations and communication major said she learned a lot about world issues and hopes to have a career as a U.N. translator. She is pictured here in front of the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

Read about Katie’s traveling experience in this weeks print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
