DeLong earns brown
belt
Joshua DeLong, 10, of Adena,
recently tested in his tae kwon do class and earned his brown
belt. He is the son of Bill and Karla DeLong of Adena and
is a four-year student at Miller's Martial Arts in Cadiz.
JCC names officers
The Board of Trustees of Jefferson
Community College re-elected its officers in its annual election.
Joseph Matthews of Brilliant
remains as chairman. Originally appointed to the board in 1988,
Matthews became chairman in 2001. He is general manager of Matthews
Chevrolet.
Vice Chairman Patricia Fletcher
of Steubenville joined the board in 1995. She is a retired administrative/education
specialist from Steubenville City Schools and past president
of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs.
Re-elected secretary was Anthony
Shreve of Steubenville. Appointed to the board in 1989, Shreve
is president of the Steubenville Division of the North Central
Ohio Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association.
Dorothy Blaner was re-elected
legislative delegate. A Toronto resident, Blaner is an administrative/executive
secretary at the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School. She
serves as the Second Ward councilman on the Toronto City Council.
